Prometheus Shrugs – a foray into short theatre
For something different, our director, Zoë Harvey is directing a short play in the upcoming short play festival, Short+Sweet Sydney in March. The play is called Prometheus Shrugs, and has been written by a US-based playwright, John Bavoso. Casting is complete and now rehearsals are underway. From the relative restraints of performance in front of a camera to that of the stage, which demands a bigger physical presence and delivery, there remains so many commonalities between both forms of expression. This production is aesthetically rich, not only in the mythology it’s based on but in the portrayal of the characters and the staging. Watch this space for updates.
